He is the coordinator of the Biltmore Rose Trials, a Certified Consulting Rosarian at the American Rose Society, and is a consultant for many private and public gardens. He conducts rose lectures and rose-growing workshops nationwide and overseas, and is the U.S. licensing agent for several foreign rose breeders. Zimmerman lives in Campobello, SC.
